Weather can change the whole photography scene. This last week I have done my project on black and white. My teacher wants our class to do a Color Post, but I am doing the absence of color. I love black and white, it shows a significant amount of emotion. Lot’s of people are like “Black and White is so sad” I don’t think it is sad, but in this instance it is. Through these photos I’m trying to release my emotions in my life. I have toned the blacks a lot and that expresses my feelings. I have an inspiration was Dave Beckerman www.beckermanphoto.com. Not trying to be an emo kid but when something needs to be expressed, I use my camera. Please look at these photos and tell me what you think, feed back is greatly appreciated.

Nice project, and while I agree with you that a camera can really help you get through things in life, they can also try to get you through assignments in color. Get to this assignment in the next week or so.
Image 4 doesn’t seem to fit with the rest of the series, at least in the order that you have it. It is nice that you have a variety of shots. Did you shoot any slow-shutter shots at all? I think a couple thrown in would add nicely to this project. If I am reading these images right- including some show shutter images might show that things are passing by, sometimes things go by faster then we can see and fully comprehend at that point in time, but if we are able to really look at it, perhaps ourselves slow down and examine the situation, we can make sense of it all. Is that too much? Hope not.
I think having the last photo be just the alley without the biker makes a strong statement…..very powerful. Stay strong.
