This week I did idioms and had a lot of fun working with this assignment even though I put if off for like 2 or 3 weeks. I re-tried stop motion again and I succeeded. Last time I felt like a failed but I learned how to do it. I tried it again this week and I felt great about it. I used a tripod and that seriously made all the difference. Also for the one “knock on wood” I used the strobes that my photo teacher lent me. Working with lighting is a totally legit talent. I am going to be doing a lot of projects with use of strobes and flash photography. Actually my brother, Scott, was my inspiration on this project because he is super good at having a photo tell a story. His website is sturgesphotography.com check it out. Well hear are this weeks photos:

Kicking the bucket
Thanks for viewing
-Steve

I really liked the kicking the bucket, i got a good laugh. I also liked how i told you to do the frowny face for spilt milk and it came out just like i thought it would. kudos to steve.
I win at kicking buckets (is that a good thing?)! I suppose that I am the model for all of the photos except one (the milk).
I really like the knock on wood photo. The wood looks really spectacular and there is amazing detail throughout the photo — from the hand to the grains in the wood. Great macro shot.
The milk shot is pretty good also. It seems a little hot (or red) to me. It seems that if the image white balance tempurature was turned down in the RAW conversion it would look a little better. I’m not saying it’s a bad photo… I just think it would look a little better a little cooler.
The “Lost My Head” photo is pretty cool also. It looks a little too photoshopped, but it is still decent. There could be a little less whitespace at the top of the photo, but either way, it looks good.
Finally, the stop-motion/animated GIF is pretty amazing… not just because I was the subject. This one turned out way better than the last one, as it is less jerky and better composed. I think it would be cool to see a still of one, edited and such… but this is still great.
These are full of win.
The lost head for some reason doesn’t seem to fit with the rest. It doesn’t seem to have the professional touch to it that the others do.
The milk one- love it. I didn’t notice the frown face at first so it was very cool to see it and surprise me.
Very nice this week.
