Not in the tattoo way, but in the food dye way. Yesterday, I made a trip out to Spokane, WA to pick up a fish tank. There are various reasons to have a fish tank such as: fish, snakes, lizards, iguanas, sharks, or just a glass tank. But I didn’t choose any of those, I got it for photos of dye dispersing throughout the water.
Set up: I shot this with strobe behind the fish tank with a white sheet behind the glass. With the power of the strobe behind the white sheet, the water was blown out inside the tank. With the back ground blown out, the ink looks like it is just floating in the air. Here is a link/inspiration for this project: http://www.michaelklothphotography.com/ its a pretty simple/easy concept.
I really like this red and the green ones, those were my favorite but the mixture ink ones turned out very well. This really opened my eye up to see what else I can do with water photography and I will be pushing to try this more and with different objects/substances. Here are the shots:
Thanks a lot, please comment, it’s always appreciated.
