This last week has been super crazy weather wise. We have had snow, sun, rain, wind and just about any other type of weather you could think of. But usually with crazy weather you can get some pretty cool shots. So this last week, I shot some portraits, and some nature stuff. I went on a nice hike with a friend and shot some nice nature photos. But earlier in the week I shot some portraits of a good friend, Noel, in the snow. I have done that before if you remember back in December. Perhaps Noel just looks with snow? I think so. To top it off, I shot some more portraits of Trevor Groth. If you don’t know him, you are missing out. I am really trying to work on my portraits again, I feel a little rusty and it has been awhile. I need to get back in the portrait game if you know what I mean?
Check out what I have been up to:
My inspiration for this week is Mike O’Meally because of his well roundness of photography. He really gets in his groove and that is skateboarding, but he kills it in many other aspects of photography as well.
Thanks,
-Steve

Steven! I first off got to say that I think you did really good with this week, I also feel it’s cool that you went and shot something a little bit different than your normal routine.
I really like the picture of the long hair, it’s a really good perspective shot and stands out to me a lot. The first 6 pictures really play with the whole perspective aspect of photography and it makes me happy. It really shows that if someone places themselves in a different position it could change the whole message that a person is trying to convey with their work.
Like always, great job with the portraits, aside from snowboading/skating shots those are totally your strong suit.
I really like the black & white edits as well, turned out really clean cut and the contrast played out really well. Especially the ones with the white sky in the background.
Doing good work Steve! Keep it up.
-Sadii.
A good variation, as Sadii said. THe black and white editing is very nice, not too extreme and compliments the subject.
